Our Trip To Hawaii

Our Trip To Hawaii                  “Hawaii, oo la la”

Day 1   ( MAUI)

“Aloha”!(Hello!)The first thing we did was take a little walk around  our hotel’s garden, our hotel’s name name is Aston Kanapalli Shores . Then we asked about places to go, the lady we asked was actually doing a presentation, so we sat for the presentation for places to go, and  we even got a free adult ticket to the Luau Drums Of The Pacific! That was our raffle prize! After the presentation, we chose Kapalua Bay for snorkeling. When we got there, we put on our snorkeling masks and started snorkeling, Daddy took us one by one, and we even saw a school of Zebrafish!  Mamma barely went in the water. Then we started finding Baby Beach, but we couldn’t find it, so we went to Lahaina Town to see the halloween parade, but we thought it was going to get too crowded, so we went to get some food, Daddy got a Fish Katsu, and I got a Mcdonald’s Pancake. After we finished eating in our room, we went to a little Luau dance, a Luau is like a show. We went to a little hula luau, there they gave us a juice which tasted Like Mango

Pineapple juice, but it was actually Guava Juice. Then we took some pictures at Kanapalli Beach which is right in front of our hotel. Then we went to the  swimming pool, which looks really cool at night, and it was really cool swimming in it.

Day 2   (MAUI)

On the second day, we woke up early enough to catch the boat we were taking to snorkel at Molokini crater, Molokini Crater is a crater which was formed by volcanic eruption, then used as bomb practice for the Pearl Harbor war. Now it is protected  and used for snorkeling. Our boat was called Ocean voyager. After we got on, the staff gave us flippers our size. When we got to Molokini Crater, we put on our snorkeling masks and started snorkeling, I saw a lot of black fish with a blue stripe on their back. After we got back on the boat, we started going to a new snorkeling area called turtle town, there, I saw only 4 turtles, a Parrot fish, and a glowing sea slug. When  we were driving back, it felt like a roller coaster, we were going so high up and falling down, it was so fun! Then we started walking the sliding sands trail, but we only went about 5 meters until we turned back, then we went to a arbortorium on Haleakala Volcano this is how you say Haleakala, Ha-lee-ak-al-a. One plant which can only be found in Hawaii is the Silversword plant. Then we went in front of the arbortorium to see the awesome sunset, the sunset was nice and orange, and the sun went down really fast. After driving back and reaching our hotel room, I ate Pasta, changed my clothes, and slept.

Day 3  (MAUI)

On the 3rd day, it was Mamma and Daddy’s 10th wedding anniversary! (Nov. 2, 2018). So we went to a photo shoot and took a lot of photos, the people who worked at the photo shoot gave us Hawaiian necklaces to wear, I wore 2, one black and Tan, and the other black and dark brown. Then we went to a Blowhole and it could shoot water up to 100 ft., but we only saw it to about 20 ft. Then we went to a GRAND Luau, not a little one. There, they did all sorts of dances, including hula dances, my favorite dance was the fire dance, the Luau was called, Drums Of The Pacific. We had dinner there and my favorite one was the noodles, they had dessert too, all I ate was chocolate chips in whipped cream for dessert. After it finished, we took pictures with some of the dancers, the Luau was actually at another hotel, so after we went in the hotel, Mamma bought a clay flower for her hair. Then we back to the hotel, ate dinner, and slept.

Day 4   (Maui)

On day 4 we woke up early enough to drive the scenic Road to Hana, when we started, it was just the normal Hawaiian roads, but when we got on the Hana Highway, it was a whole different story, we stopped at many scenic spots. We even saw a waterfall called The Three Bears, it is called that because it is three waterfalls next to each other and go highest to lowest. The first biggest stop was Wai’anapanapa State Park, there, we saw Black Sand Beach, the rocks there are soooooo smoothe! The second biggest stop was Garden Of Eden, there we got to feed birds like Geese, Peacocks, and some small birds. While I was feeding them, a goose just flew up to me, swiped all the food I had in my hand, and bit me, I was  surprised of how hard it bit me. We also went in a Bamboo Forest. The third biggest stop was a trail where we saw Eucalyptus Trees, they are special because they come in many different colors. We only walked halfway up the trail until we turned back. I slept the whole way back after we touched Hana.

Then we had to drive back because we had a flight at 6:00. While going it was three flights and for coming it was too. While going it was,Atlanta, Georgia to Houston, Texas to San Francisco, California to Maui, Hawaii. And while coming it was, Maui, Hawaii to Honolulu, Hawaii to Denver, Colorado to Atlanta, Georgia.

End Of Trip!!!!!!!!!

What Is A Blowhole?

Blowholes occur when there are weak joints, or possibly a volcanic duke in the rock. The erosive effect of the waves is just above the waterline; so the area at or near sea level is eroded more quickly than the cliff face above. At first this forms a cave; which might be quite long. The force of the waves rushing into the cave(and especially the air force in the cave in front of the wave) increases the erosive action at the end of the cave; so it becomes longer. If there is a vertical weakness further in(say, softer rock, or another larger joint), the erosive pushes upward against the weak rock, eventually, the weak joint may become eroded right to the surface. What happens is that the wave rushes into the cave, and the air is forced ahead ahead and up the vertical section, forming a blowhole. At the end, the roof of the cave might get worn away, or the hole enlarged so the blowhole effect is lost.
